In the Pre-amble to the Icelandic Patriotic War, the Republic of Iceland [IS] withdrew from the United Nations, at the command of Iceland's president and his party. In light of this development, a Norwegian Ro-nation declared they would invade Iceland, justifying the invasion with the claim to the Island Norway maintained from 1262-1918. Norwegian Troops landed at the city of Akureyri. Today, Tuesday, March Eight, 2022, Stridulfur-Icelandic troops are marching on the city of Akureyri, and will be pushing the remaining troops out of the city. A report of the battle will be released to the public shortly after the battle.

Chieftain Radurhrolf Thordurson made this announcement to Stridulfur troops one week ago, at the start of the war -

  1. STRIDULFUR IS AT WAR - NORSK-ISKLANDER WAR Norway has Declared War on Iceland. The Norwegians believe that due to their claim to Iceland dating back to 1262, Iceland is rightfully theirs. For this reason, Norway has declared war on the Republic of Iceland. After our war with the Republic of Iceland, we removed the Anti-Stridulfur Regime, and are now in the process of writing an official alliance document. Even without the official Alliance, the Island of Iceland is our home. The Republic of Iceland is our brother nation. This is our home, these are brothers. Этот мы будем защищать. We will defend Iceland, and the Republic of Iceland against the Norwegian Invaders. It is our job as men of Stridulfur to protect our home, to protect iceland. Sigrael Eda Valhol

March 8th, 2022. At 1830 hours Iceland time, Stridulfur forces rallied for combat at the battlefield on the outskirts of Akureyri. The enemy was initially drastically outnumbered, however, a large number of foreign combatants bolstered the Norwegian Forces. At the beginning of the battle, Stridulfur took up defensive positions in hills on their side of the river. Both sides exchanged fire, causing Norwegian combatants to suffer heavy casualties. A small squad of Stridulfur soldiers attempted to cross the river, then remembered they were dressed in combat gear, and proceeded to drown. Shortly after, a second squad spearheaded an assault across the bridge, supported by suppressive fire. Stridulfur Forces managed to take the mountain on the other side of the river, taking the flag point on top of said mountain. The Stridulfur troops then proceeded to move in on the enemy camp, slowly killing off the enemies one by one (Almost all enemies left the game during this time). At the gates of the camp, stridulfur forces demanded the last survivor(s) surrender. Stridulfur troops suffered 11 casualties, 4 of which being from the drowned squad, and confirmed 36 enemy kills.

Norwegian forces were pushed off the Island once and for all, winning the war for Iceland and Stridulfur. (Pictured below - Raid results and taking of survivor)
